Intelligent control solutions from InMach on the HAWE Mattro off-highway platform

Technological evolution: The collaboration between InMach and HAWE Mattro is driving the development of autonomous work machines.

Autonomous, mobile work machines are at the center of a technological revolution that is fundamentally changing various industries. Thanks to their ability to perform tasks more efficiently, precisely and safely than conventional methods, they are gaining in importance worldwide. Equipped with advanced sensors and intelligent control technology, these machines can perform complex tasks autonomously, without human intervention. This not only saves costs and protects the environment, but also increases safety in the workplace.

Companies such as InMach and HAWE Mattro impressively demonstrate the potential of the future by combining innovative technologies with advanced platforms in order to develop the optimum product for autonomous use depending on the customer’s requirements profile. This approach combines InMach’s innovative know-how in the field of intelligent control systems with HAWE Mattro’s outstanding technology in the manufacture of all-electric drive systems.

At the heart of potential customer-specific application solutions is the integration of InMach’s state-of-the-art control systems into HAWE Mattro’s ground-breaking ROVO robot platform. This platform, consisting of an all-electric track-based drive system, was specially developed for off-highway use and combines advanced technology with high performance.

The ROVO platform is characterized by its outstanding features, including a lithium-ion battery with 100 V nominal voltage and 9.4 kWh capacity, a double wishbone chassis with Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibach coil springs as well as a motor-gearbox unit with brushless disc rotor synchronous motor. Added to this is a chassis made of high-strength steel and a host of other technological innovations that make ROVO an extremely powerful platform for a wide range of applications.

By integrating InMach’s leading technology, including LIDAR and radar sensors, ROVO becomes a next-generation autonomous work machine. Components such as RGB and multispectral cameras, inertial sensors, time-of-flight or thermal imaging cameras are also used to enable efficient environment sensing, depending on the requirements profile.

The interaction of the individual elements is handled by the intelligent control software also developed by InMach. Software engineering is an important area of expertise at InMach. Here, an experienced team of highly qualified specialists works hard to create the conditions for safe and efficient operation in autonomous drive technology.

This successful symbiosis of high-tech hardware and software components enables a wide range of applications. For example, the working machine can be used for precise levelling of surfaces on construction sites, for mowing work on steep embankments on freeways or for the precise application of seeds or fertilizers in agriculture..

“We are convinced that the possibilities of combining our intelligent control solutions with HAWE Mattro’s off-highway platform can lead to a wide range of customer-specific applications,” explains Ralf Schrempp, Global Sales Director at InMach.

HAWE Mattro is also enthusiastic about the variety of applications. “The integration of InMach’s technology into our ROVO platform creates customer-specific, high-performance and efficient products for use in the off-highway sector,” says Paolo Fontana, Managing Director of HAWE Mattro.

The sales partnership between InMach and HAWE Mattro underlines the commitment of both companies to innovative technologies and future-oriented solutions.
