Automatic boom control BoomControl Pro
HORSCH is a leading global manufacturer of innovative agricultural technology and modern solutions for tillage, seeding and crop protection.
Philipp Horsch Managing Director: “Electronics and software enable new functions in and around the machine year after year. In our industry, we are only at the very beginning of the intelligent networking of functions, machines and services. HORSCH wants to use the resulting possibilities for optimising work processes and information flows for its customers even more consistently in the future. Therefore, we are working on the automation and connectivity of our machines in the area of system technology with an enlarged development team. We place great emphasis on the reliability of components and functions. Our goal is to continuously improve the ease of operation and productivity of HORSCH machines through electronics, software and telemetric data connections, while at the same time reducing electronic-related failures more and more”.

Successful cooperation was established with InMach in the field of BoomControl Pro boom control. The BoomControl Pro control system was awarded a DLG silver medal.
With BoomControl Pro, Horsch revolutionises boom control in crop protection and enables precise and smooth spray boom guidance above the crop.
This type of active boom guidance is unique, patented and the cornerstone for an application with very little distance to the target area. Any movements of the carrier vehicle are no longer transmitted to the boom. The adjustment speed of the contour adjustment is very fast, even under the most difficult conditions. This is a great added value for farmers.
In this development, InMach Intelligente Maschinen GmbH was able to fully exploit its strengths of cross-technology system development:
In addition to the sensory environment detection, the software and electronics development for the ISOBUS connection and the high-precision hydraulic control, engineering in the form of control system considerations also played a decisive role.
