The experts of the research project LUKAS had the opportunity to exchange information about the project status at InMach in Ulm.
The LUKAS project aims to ensure fast, safe and reliable communication between all users and components within a local traffic system, such as a busy road junction. The research project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
An interim presentation has now taken place at the premises of the project participant InMach Intelligente Maschinen GmbH. In addition to TÜV Rheinland as the project sponsor, the other partners Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, NOKIA, the University of Ulm, the IT-Designers Group and representatives of the University of Duisburg also met at the InMach site in Ulm.
Tests were carried out at a test junction specially equipped for the project.
InMach is responsible for the vehicle class of commercial vehicles in this complex interaction of individual road users.
The top-class group of experts took this opportunity to agree on the further steps in the planned project progress on the topic of cooperative driving.
